Food Truth

Hello and a warm welcome to my website which is currently under construction.

Helen is very passionate about health, nutrition and healthy lifestyle. She graduated with an Honours degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Surrey. She also has an Exercise to music qualification. She is registered with the Health Profession Council (HPC) and a full member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA). Helen understands it can be extremely confusing for people to know the truth regarding healthy eating due to the bombardment of conflicting messages continuously fed in the media. Helen feels it is very important that people know the truth about nutrition and healthy living so believes in providing an individual client based approach on nutrition and healthy lifestyle that is evidence based.

I have recently been trained by Kings College, London to practice the new Low FODMAPs diet approach for treating people with IBS. FODMAPs are a group of carbohydrates found both in processed and healthy foods. When FODMAPs are eaten they can cause symptoms in some susceptible people such as pain, bloating, wind, a change in bowel habit either constipation and/or diarrhoea. A FODMAP trained dietitian can provide dietary advice tailored to suit you with a proven success rate of 76%.
